Monkey Immolation
Level: Mexican Mission
Mode Type: Virus
Character: Venus Starr
Bronze: Survive for 30 seconds
Silver: Survive for 1 minute
Gold: Survive for 2 minutes
Platinum: Survive for 3 minutes

"Those pesky pyromaniac primates have been juggling torches with disastrous results! The game ends when everyone is set on fire...so avoid those frantic furry flamers!"

Strategy: First, make sure you start this match by spawning in the open area with the fountain. Go to the building with the ladder going up it (at the south side of the open area) and camp there waiting for the flaming monkey(s) to come. When you see them coming, wait until they are coming up the ladder (watch the radar), then start running to the opposite side of the map, where you will find two opposite stairways going up to the second floor. Take the stairs, and start going back to the open area via the second story. The monkeys should be behind you towards the stairs at this point. (Check the radar.) Fall into the open area, and go to the building with the ladder again. Repeat until necessary for the platinum. Make sure to pick up speed upgrades when they are on your path.

Alternate Strategy: To get platinum on monkey immolation, u have to last for 3 mins. an easy way to do this on level one is to go to the courtyard with a fountain. u willsee around the walls a ledge with an invisibilty powerup. go up to this legdge (u will have to go thru the sinseide to get there, but it aint hard. once u have tohe powerup, wait here. the monkeysd usually stay underneath u, and if theyu do come along, bast em with ure pistols or wotever u have.

Alternate Strategy: After you survive for the first minute or two (using the strategy above) all four monkeys should be on flame. When that happens, run to the building outside in the courtyard with the ladder going up it. When the four monkeys come out, they will get stuck on the ladder if they try to go up it together. Wait on the building for the remaining time for an easy platinum.

Alternate Strategy: Head to the top of the house which has ladders going up to it and face the ladders. when you see a virus come jump backwards off the roof and turn around. run to the fountain and grab the speed pickup then head left into the gap. once in turn right then take the second right followed by a left. head up the steps and go around the wall and around the hole in the floor. jump out the window where there is armour and head to the top of the house again. rinse, lather, repeat.

Alternate Strategy: Follow the same strat as phillryu except grab the speed boost if you can and also, once you get up top, look to the left side for the cloaker, this is a tremendous help. Also, if there is only one, use the fountain as a blocker and he will try to run around it. The cloaker, speed boost and route from ladder building to bell should be more than enough though.

Alternate Strategy: This is the easiest platinum I have got so far. At the start of the level grab yourself a decent gun (I used the minigun and tommy gun), make your way quickly to the house in the courtyard that has the ladder running up it. Walk out to the edge of the house, facing the fountain and shoot the monkeys as they run towards you. They don't take much to kill so ammo isn't a problem. I found this easier than trying to run from them as you can see them coming. Anyway, good luck!

Alternate Strategy: If you're finding the above strategies a little too complicated or else can't seem to avoid burning monkeys when you jump off the outside villas, I have a much simpler yet effective suggestion. Go to the courtyard with the fountain and just run around clockwise or counter-clockwise, making sure to hug the walls. Avoid the speed power-up if there is only one monkey or no monkeys. After about a minute and a half or so, all the flaming monkeys or most should be on your tail. Do not stop running in the circle repeatedly, and grab the speed power-up when you can...but remember, you are actually a bit faster than the monkeys are, so you don't technically need it. If you run around and find yourself running towards a flaming monkey, simply turn around and continue running the circle in the opposite direction. You should get the platinum with minimal stress. Good luck!

Alternate Strategy: This was the first platinum i got.bassically get to the outside were all the houses are and go up the ladder on the far building.camp up there until those dam monkeys come up and blast there heads of(not literily) but dont stand there and try to shoot them if you miss just quickly back of the building and reapeat it until you get a plat.

Alternate Strategy: Make your way through the main building to the top, at the bell. Get the flaming monkey(s) to chase you around the large opening in the middle of the roof. This got me the gold. If you fall in, run outside to the courtyard and get the monkeys to chase you around the fountain.

Disco Inferno
Level: Nightclub
Mode Type: Virus
Character: Lady Jane
Bronze: Survive for 30 seconds
Silver: Survive for 1 minute
Gold: Survive for 2 minutes
Platinum: Survive for 3 minutes

"Lady Jane is busy strutting her stuff in the nightclub, and the dance floor is heating up...literally! Avoid the night fever for as long as possible!"

Strategy: Try to spawn outside in the alley area, and when you do, run up the metal stairs to your right. After you go up three floors, you should see a walkway that ends in mid air with a tommy gun at the end. Turn around, wait for the infected people to run up to you, and gun them down. Remember to manually reload at each break, and you shouldn't run out of ammo as you are standing right on top of the tommy gun spawn.

Alternate Strategy: This level is actually pretty easy. When the level starts, work your way outside to the fire escapes. Get up to the top level on the side with the TommyGun. Grab it and face towards the ramp on your side. Whenever an infected person runs up the ramp, gun them down. If they have a speed powerup or are in a large group. Run backwards as you shoot in a path parallel to the side rails. If you're moving fast enough, you'll "jump" to the other side with the max damage power-up. Use the new power to kill all the viruses you see. If the area's clear, move back to the side with the TommyGun and repeat the above process as needed. NOTE: You can't "jump" back to the side with the TommyGun from the side with the max damage power-up.

Alternate Strategy: The two afore mentioned strats are great ones, the advantage is that standing at the top of the ramp you can see them coming up the steps. There are 2x Tommy Guns [I'm pretty sure, it has been a while] at the beginning of the level [where you enter in story mode]. So grab those and stare at the entrance, open fire when you see them bud. Downsides to this are that they might spawn in that room in the small glassed in areas. The other one, there is a speed burst at the base of the steps, right where they run. Personally, I got this plat using mine [and everyone elses] other strategy [the top of the metal stairs outside]. I'm just giving you guys options though. Good Luck.

Alternate Strategy: The easiest way to do this challenge is to start outside in the alley or get there fairly quickly. Make your way up the fire escape to where it is broken at the top. With your back to the broken floor right behind you, sit and wait. By the time one of the infected gangsters comes your way they should all be infected and right together in a group. Back up and fall on to the next level. Strafe a lot in this match and work your way up to the top on the other side. They will follow and you can just jump off like you did before. Keep going up, letting them follow and jumping and running to the other side and they will never catch you. I never had to fire one bullet in this one.

NOTE: There is a degree of luck that they don't split up early on, but if you stay up high they shouldn't give you any trouble.

Alternate Strategy: Make sure you start outside the club, go and collect the tommy gun 2 in the dead end alley, run up the metal stairs until you reach the junction, one direction leads to a double damage powerup, go that way. Collect the powerup, jump off the gap and run straight forward up the stairs. When you reach the gap, turn round, any enemies thatcome towards you, blast em, if they get too close, run backwards, up the other stairs where you got the double damage, jump off, run straight and repeat. Your shooting spot ensures no enemies get you from behind or take you by surprise, if you run low on ammo, make sure the area's clear and get more. Good Luck!

Burns Department
Level: Hospital
Mode Type: Vius
Character: Viola
Bronze: Survive for 1 minute
Silver: Survive for 1 minute 30 seconds
Gold: Survive for 2 minutes
Platinum: Survive for 3 minutes

"You might want to keep away from the other patients in the hospital. There's a nasty hot fever going around... you wouldn't want to catch it!"

Strategy: Remember that unlike the challenges before, your character is actually fast. Viola is one of the fastest characters in the game. The hospital level is a hard one to remember, because of the similarity of all the rooms and the lack of main open area to reference yourself to. The small passageways leave no room for mistakes, so running around randomly will not help you.

First, make your way to the balcony where the shotgun is located. Take the shotgun and proced to camp there standing at the edge of the balcony. One or two zombies at a time should be easily taken care of with one or two shot kills. This strategy depends a lot on luck, as a mass of burning zombies will eventually come and overrun you. If you see a group like that coming, fall off the balcony (backwards), turn right then left into the area with the stairs, go up the stairs, and go back into the balcony waiting for the mob to come again. The balcony is the only place where you can do this as it offers the unique circumstances of a room with one entrance but two exits. Good luck!

Submitted by phillryu

Alternate Strategy: You must get to the bathrooms quickly and to the room with the sinks in the middle. Now, wait until the infected zombie comes in... then you just circle around the sinks in the middle while he follows you. Sometimes if you go to quickly he might turn around so watch out... this strategy will only work if theres one infected person... you might have to get lucky and hope that another zombie doesnt come in and get infected...

Submitted by Syxx6

Alternate Strategy: If the other two strategies aren't working for you, I suggest this. I experimented a lot with this level and found that, for me, this is the best one and is the most consistent. As with every other one, you have to have a few practice runs to get the feel, but the learning curve is quick. Get to the big open area above the balcony, if there is only one or two infected zombies, fight them, you can also camp where one of the afore mentioned startegies says, but once more than one get infected, take off. Run towards the balcony area where the shotgun is. Now wait on the ledge of the banister. Once you see the pack, take off again, remember, they do have radar, you might not, but they do. And they will follow you. So after a few practice runs, find your comfort zone, the circle route downstairs that you like to run around. Remember, though, every now and then, run upstairs and stop on the balcony, this is because you are so much faster, you might get close to lapping them, if yo! u run into one or more zombies, turn and run the other way or pick a new way, a lot of the time, you can get away cleanly doing either of those. This is also good for you mentally, you are watching the screen in front of you, not the clock, so before long, you will be out of time. This one does have to do with luck, but which one doesn't. So be confident and you will get in no time. When you are on top of the balcony, drop off of the banister and then take off. After reading it, it was a little unclear. Hope that makes it better to understand.

Alternate Strategy: The key to win here is to find a loop in the hospital that starts from the big balcony (with the Shotgun x2) and ends there. Go to the balcony and stand on the edge facing the entrance. Shoot if there's only one or two zombie(s), but if they come in packs, run backwards, take the left exit of the chapel, run through the long hallway, go right at the end, go through the other chapel, go right, left, through room with the health and stairs, turn right twice, then left, right, left, right to the small room with the stairs climb the stairs, and then right and left to the big balcony again. Repeat until you get three minutes.

Alternate Strategy: Note: This does not require weapons.
Get a spawn upstairs in the bed place. If you go through the exit which has a dead end on the right, go to the other one. Turn left and you will see the place where the max damage powerup is except there is no max damage powerup. Stay there until a flaming zombie comes. When it comes, quickly come down and go to the entrance in front of you. Go to the first left corridor and keep going until you see a way right and a way forward. Go forward and go to the first left corridor. Follow the path until you get to the big room with stairs. Go up the stairs and turn right. Turn left. There are two places to go: left or forward. Go forward to find the max damage place. Keep repeating this until you get a platinum.

Alternate Strategy: This one is pretty easy if you take your time and get a rhythm. One thing that I noticed is that the characters act differently once they've caught fire--then they get a "mob mentality".

What I did to finally get platinum is to camp in the room with the big staircases. You can gun down any single flamer that comes at you with the weapons available, but what you want is everyone else on fire. When that happens, it's easy.

Just jump out the stained glass window and make that quick left through the rainy alley and then up the outside stairs. A quick left at the top and then back into the room with the dual stairways.

If you watch the radar, you will see the the Mob of flamers will conveniently stay in a group and mindlessly chase you.

RIt may take a few tries to get the rhythm of it, but when you do, you can keep them at bay for a long time. (I actually gave up after 6+ minutes due to boredom.)
