Simian Shootout
Level: WIll be added later

Silver: Will be added later
Gold: Will be added later
Platinum: 2000 points

Strategy: For me, this mission was on par with Dam Bursters for one simple reason: the weapon you are equipped with. The shotgun's shells tend to spread out, making it hard to have a definite hit. To minimize this spreading, get as close as you see fit. Personally, I stay back a ways.

You initially want to move to a 45 degree angle with the bell. In this position, you don't have a fully horizontal view of any monkey that will fly. This way you won't have to move your crossheirs as quickly to hit them.

Use the single shot of the shotgun on single monkies, but when more than one are launched, use the double. Monkey combos are worth the effort in this challenge.

NOTE: This challenge isn't so terrible so much because of the skill involved, but the luck. You need to depend on the shotgun to shoot in a straight line, and that's not always the case. Sometimes a vintage rifle upstages a tactical 12-guage.

Alternate Strategy: Firstly, for me this level had an extremely high luck factor. I used a technique that other people would probably ignore, but i got platinum easily after a few tries.

You must run straight into the building and get to the top of the level (where the bell is). At the bell go right, so monkeys will be flying towards you from the other side and over your head from the side you are standing.

Try to use singular shots (generally more accurate) when the monkeys are close to u and double bursts when monkeys are together. Combos are the key to this level. Towards the end, monkeys are all over so this is your best oppurtunity for combos.

You can also try shooting them from long range which gets you more points, but luck is also a key factor in this and wastes time if you miss.

I did not use the crosshair for this challenge.

Alternate Strategy: From the beginning of the level, start running forward as soon as you spawn, and make your way up to the top of the building where the bell is. Looking towards the bell, there are four doorways (including the bell archway), from left to right. You want to take the one next to the bell archway on the right hand side, not the one on the far right in the corner. This will bring you out onto a large, flat pad.

Step out onto the pad and turn left 90 degrees so that the bell is on your left hand side and the fountain is on your right hand side on the ground below. You will then have the monkeys coming out from in front of you, from the left of you (by the bell), and up and over your head from behind. You want to line yourself up as straight as possible with the monkeys coming in front of you, what this does is drastically reduce the amount of left and right aim adjustment and instead lets you focus almost exclusively on your up and down aim, because the monkeys coming from in front of you and behind you will fall very close to the center of your screen.

Now just concentrate on your aim, and learn the pattern that the monkeys come out and you should be fine with a couple of small combos throughout the match, and as big combo you can nail with that last large batch of monkeys. You don't want to move your crosshairs when the monkeys by the bell shoot out from the left to your right, but you don't have to worry about those to get your platinum and sometimes it can be a pain to get centered back into the flight path of the other two monkeys (which can end up losing you more points than you got by moving out of position). In fact, you'll notice that while centered, your auto-aim will target them from time to time. You can nail a couple real quick like this, and your crosshairs will return to the position you had them because of the auto-aim. That way you won't need to get back into the sweet spot manually.

That's about all I got for that one, you'll notice that even though you're right next to the monkeys up there, you'll still miss because of that damn spread. This level is the one that really turned me off to the tactical shotgun. Give us back the assault shotgun, please.

Monkey Mayhem
Level: WIll be added later
Bronze: Will be added later
Silver: Will be added later
Gold: Will be added later
Platinum: 3000 points

Strategy: This is probably the easiest challenge of the Monkey Around category. There is a simple strategy for it:

1. When you initially aim, you're fully zoomed in. Zoom out all the way, or to a comfortable value.
2. Try to move your crossheirs as little as possible, the monkies have assigned paths they follow.
3. Some monkies tend to weave, so don't shoot until they stop weaving. You don't want to risk a 75 point deduction.
4. When monkies come out in rows, shoot the watermelons off their heads as quickly as possible. You get bonus points for monkey combos.

Alternate Strategy: It's actually not very hard when you know the trick - even if you get every watermelon and never hit a monkey, I'm not sure you'd get the gold, when just getting 50 points per melon

the trick is to hit multiple melons in rapid succession (maybe a 2 second window between the last monkey and the next?) because for each watermelon hit in that time window, you get an additional 100 points (50, 150, 250, 350, not sure if it continues to go up or not)

What I do is wait until there a quite a few monkey+melon's out in the ring, then try and hit 'em all as quick as possible. I've been able to get 4 in succession, which is 800 points - with scoring like that, getting a gold is pretty easy... Also sometimes 2 monkeys come out pretty close to each other, so if you get them near the doorway you can keep your aim at the same place after hitting the first melon to hit the second, for an easy 200 points

Alternate Strategy: This one posed a problem at first because the controls are so touchy, but with this strategy you don't even have to move the c-stick. At the far end of the arena opposite you, there are two doors. To the left of the left door, there is a short wall with artwork on it. Aim your gun at the middle hightwise and a little bit left from the edge Every monkey in the game passes through that spot, adjust accordingly. Get a few multiple-kill shots and you're on your way to a platinum.

Dam Bursters
Level: WIll be added later
Bronze: Will be added later
Silver: Will be added later
Gold: Will be added later
Platinum: 9300? points

Strategy: NOTE: This is one of the hardest challenges in the game! Don't be angry if you can't beat this after a few tries, it takes a LONG time to master! For me, this mission falls under the category "@#$% the gold."

Something that makes this challenge so hard is the gun that you are equipped with: the minigun. Sure, it sounds like a good gun for the job, but the minigun is not good for hitting spread out targets that are far away. Another thing, if you shoot too much you overheat! The lucky thing is the infinate ammunition. To top it all off, you cannot see your crossheirs with the blue of the sky!

There is only one way to do this mission with anything less than extreme mayhem. Firstly, you want to concentrate on the monkeys near the ground that will surely hit the dam. Run directly in front of their location so they are rolling or bouncing toward you head on. Then shoot at him until he is dead. Then you move in front of another monkey, etc.

Tip: The minigun can be instantly cooled by hitting switch weapon twice. Maybe you should add an editor's note to that effect.

Alternate Strategy: Fairly easy challenge. The main rule is: don't camp. Keep moving. Put your body in a position so that the monkeys are coming straight at you. Also, don't let your gun overheat. Early on, just use first fire, because there isn't many monkeys, but when you hit 0:20 left, switch the mode to spinning barrel. And when you move, avoid entering the holes where the turrets usually are, beacause when you try to move out of them, you'll tend to get hooked on the edge.

Alternate Strategy: OK, at first this challenge seems really hard. It IS the last challenge in the game but is (in my opinion) not the hardest. The thing you must remember is not to use your crosshair. Auto-Aim really helps you. You also have to strafe left and right to get right in front of those explosive monkeys and shoot them. When about 15-20 seconds are left don't worry about your Minigun overheating and get all the monkeys you can. Try to get the monkeys that are rolling on the ice in front of you because each time a monkey hits the dam you lose 60 points! Perservere, and you will get that elusive platinum!!!

Alternate Strategy: The general flow of simians is simple, the most go middle and left and a few go right. From that we gather it will be most profitable to keep between the Middle and Left. I had to rely completley on combos to get this F*&K. Aim straight down the back and cap any monkeys. I found the best way was to wait till the monkies were in a certain line so i could get a combo with ease. Often firing into the back got me combos on monkies that hadnt even appeared yet O_o. Combos are the road to success in all the Monkey challenges.

Note: If you are a retard you may overheat your mini gun. This is easily overcome, pulse. If you dont know what i mean it means fire in bursts. And i dont mean bursts of 300 bullets i mean 3-5 bullets. I got gold without overheating once. Watch your meter and gauge how long it takes to refil after a burst and you can keep it extra low so youll have some cool for a drastic moment if you come by one.
